people
At Echoknits, we believe the strength of our business lies in the wellbeing, empowerment, and security of our people. We are proud to foster a workplace where over 3,500 employees benefit from ethical labour standards, robust welfare support, and inclusive growth opportunities.
Key people initiatives
Our people-first culture ensures that every individual is treated with respect and dignity — from fair wages to financial independence, from access to healthcare to support for working parents. These principles aren't just policies — they're part of how we knit community into our business.
Fair Wages & Benefits
We offer wages above the national minimum, along with structured bonuses for attendance, festival celebrations, and production performance. This ensures both financial stability and motivation across the workforce.Health Insurance for All
In partnership with Gonoshasthaya Kendra, we provide full medical insurance to every worker. If any treatment falls outside the policy scope, Echoknits covers the additional medical expenses — ensuring no one is left behind in times of need.Financial Inclusion
We are proud to be only the second factory in Bangladesh to host a full-service Bank Asia branch within our premises. This goes far beyond the usual in-factory ATM — it gives employees access to savings accounts, loans, transfers, and all standard banking services.
In collaboration with Swiss Contact and Sharati, we’ve also run multiple financial literacy programmes. As a result, workers have gained independence in managing their finances, and personal savings levels have risen significantly.Childcare Support
We operate a full-time creche and daycare facility on-site, providing a safe, stimulating environment for employees’ children. This is a vital support system, especially for working mothers, offering them peace of mind and access to their children throughout the workday.Women’s Empowerment
We champion gender equality across all levels of the organisation. Female employees benefit from maternity leave, childcare access, and targeted leadership training. Today, X% of our supervisory and floor management roles are held by women — a number we are committed to growing.
Training & Development
Worker Wellbeing & Safety
Comprehensive health and safety training is delivered across departments, supported by mental health awareness programmes and on-site medical services to maintain a secure and supportive working environment.
Sexual & Reproductive Health Education
In partnership with SNV, we run ongoing training on Sexual and ReproductiveHealth and Rights (SRHR). This includes professional counselling to help workers prevent disease, make informed decisions, and plan their families with confidence.
Respect & Equality in the Workplace
As part of the RISE Respect Programme, we collaborated with Inditex and Mamata Bangladesh to train workers and managers on gender sensitivity, workplace conduct, and the elimination of gender-based violence — reinforcing our commitment to equality and respect for all.
Looking Ahead
As part of our ongoing commitment to worker wellbeing, we are preparing to launch Echo Mart — a non-profit shop located within the factory premises. The store will provide employees with access to essential household goods at prices below local market rates, helping to reduce daily living costs. In addition to discounted pricing, workers will have the option to purchase on credit, promoting financial stability and convenience in a secure and supportive environment.

Our commitment to ethical working conditions is not just internal policy — it’s backed by globally recognised social compliance and workplace safety standards. These certifications ensure our practices are transparent, independently verified, and focused on the well-being of every individual at Echoknits.
